Choose the closest age or purpose for your flock, then adjust the feed-per-bird number if your feed label or actual feeder use says otherwise. Turkeys change appetite quickly as they grow, so a grow-out plan is usually only an estimate.
As a simple planning number, grower turkeys may average around 0.8 pounds per bird per day over part of the grow-out period. Poults eat far less early on, while finishing meat birds and large adults can eat more.

It depends heavily on age and breed. Poults may start around a few ounces per day, growers often move into the half-pound range, and finishing or adult birds can approach or exceed a pound per day.
How long will a 50 lb bag of turkey feed last?
Divide 50 by your flock's daily feed use. Six grower turkeys eating 0.8 lb each use 4.8 lb per day before waste, so one 50 lb bag lasts about 10 days before a buffer.
Does pasture reduce purchased turkey feed?
Pasture can help a little, especially with active heritage birds, but it should not replace a balanced ration. Treat forage as a modest reduction unless you have real feed-use records.
