Can geese live in a chicken coop?
Sometimes, but geese need a wider low doorway, more floor space, more moisture control, and ground-level nesting space. Roost bars and elevated chicken nest boxes are not useful for geese.
How big should a goose door be?
A practical goose doorway is often around 18 to 24 inches wide and 24 to 30 inches tall, with more room for large breeds. Keep it low and easy to walk through.
Do geese need a pond in the run?
They do not need a full pond, but they do need clean water deep enough to dunk their heads. A washable tub, kiddie pool, or dedicated water area can work if it is cleaned often.
